World Record Free Dive

I'm busy writing an article titled "An Ocean of God’s Greatness." In my research on the subject I came across this fascinating video of a man attempting a record free dive (no breathing equipment, no fins) off the coast of the Bahamas:

It kinda hurts to watch this video because you want to breathe for this diver as he descends and ascends 331 feet (101 meters). What he did is truly amazing—he held his breath for 4 minutes and 11 seconds! The average person's brain starts to die after going 5 minutes without oxygen. Now consider that the deepest part of the ocean is 36,000 feet (11,000 meters)—impossibly deep for a free swimmer. What I get from this video is a truer understanding of the limits to our physical abilities and how fragile we are before our Creator. And how God gently leads us to see our sweet dependence upon Him with every breath we take!!!
