"The LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God."

As I watched brightly-colored leaves gently tumble to the ground in the crisp autumn air, I wondered to myself, "What excellency of Christ am I seeing this morning? His goodness? . . . His faithfulness?" These were my first thoughts. Then it hit me, "God is jealous for His glory!"

You may be asking yourself right now, "How do falling leaves display God's jealousy for His glory?"

The mother of these children developed diabetes when she was a child herself (eight years old in 1921) and was kept alive by a "starvation diet" until insulin was discovered in 1922. After seventeen years of successfully treating her diabetes, a son was born and two years later a daughter.
