Should We Fear Jesus?

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Creator of all things, including sharks. Before the Fall, sharks were probably "tame," but not now. Though presented by a fictional character, the following explanation of what happened to the U.S.S. Indianapolis during WWII is, in fact, quite true:

There is so little fear of God in the world today. Even the Church rarely fears our Lord Jesus in a way that truly honors Him.

May we begin again to joyfully tremble in His presence with reverence and godly fear!

"So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling" (Philippians 2:12 NASB).

"From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty" (Revelation 19:15 NASB).
