The Danger of Unbelief

Jesus said of our time, "Because of the increase of wickedness [lawlessness], the love of most will grow cold" (Matthew 24:12). Some might conclude that Christ is primarily referring to our relationships with one another. Certainly, this is in view. But I firmly believe that the "love" Jesus is most concerned with here is our adoration of His Father and our obedience to Himself as the King of kings.

The One Who Stands Above Gravity (Mark 6:47-51)

As Jesus walks on the surface of the lake, the glory of His Being transcends the physical force of gravity that holds the rest of us to the confines of this Earth (and causes us to sink in water). This shows Him to be the Glorious Creator He is! Only God Himself is above all Creation (John 3:31). The magnitude of this biblical account is probably under-appreciated. The One Who wrote the laws of gravity and submitted all of Creation to them, reveals ever-so-briefly to us that He commands all power (Matthew 28: 18; 1 Peter 3:22). Oh, what a God we have in Jesus!

Our Compassionate Creator

[God] fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them (Psalm 145:19 NIV).
